Lotus Exclusive: One Space after a Period…or Two?
Depending on your school, family, or personal preferences, you may use one or two spaces after a period when writing. We know, we know…sometimes it helps add that extra half page when trying to expand on your ideas in a long essay (ahem). But, did you know, that you should stick with only one space after periods in your high school, college, and graduate school applications? Often, these applications count character count rather than word count, so even though two spaces might help you pass a threshold in English class, those two spaces can really hold you back from fully expressing yourself on your applications.
So there you have it! Lotus Exclusive this week? Only use one space after periods on everything related to applications!
